More About Fingernail Fungus

Fingernail fungus is an infection that can be there to any human being who is not paying much attention to his/her nails. The fungus attack is not at all painful but it looks unattractive to have crumbled nails. Due to this the color of the nail changes to black, yellow or white. The nails grows back deformed and in the advanced stages it even has a foul odor. The toenail fungus is because of the most common infection, Dermatophytes and in the case of fingernail fungus it is yeast.

Fingernail fungus can be treated by using some lotions, ointments and having oral medicines. As a home remedy Zetaclear and Listerine is also helpful for curing fungus infection. Adding vinegar in water is also a solution for fighting with fungus attack. Using Leucatin, which is a natural product, is very effective in the treatment. For best results this should be applied both orally and as a cream on the affected region.

Among the prevention methods comes the use of cotton socks. Avoiding wet and moist condition can even be a better preventive measure. Never wear shoes and socks when feet are not properly dry. Always make your fingernail and toenails dry so that fungus attack can be prevented to a greater extent.
